You have social media, so why blog?
It’s the first sentence one of my friends said when I asked her why she doesn't blog. You can basically do anything in social media: uploading photos and writing tweets or captions. Above all, it’s reachable since everyone uses it.

Based on the conversations I have gone through, social media is not the only reason that people find blogging less interesting.
It’s not my nature
Writing is not me.
One my friends is not really into writing. She claims she doesn’t have the ability and desire to write. She majors in engineering, so she feels she is better mixing cement than mixing words.
Another defines blogging as to how introverts expressing their thoughts and feelings. Since she is an extrovert, she decides to not “violate” the fate. Like what extroverts do, she feels energized by socializing and talking to people instead of jotting down the thoughts in the form of blogging.
Vlogging is the new trend
UNESCO shows Indonesia is the second-last rank in reading interest.
Considering the data from the international organization, a friend of mine who enjoys traveling claims he gets lots of impressions in social media when he uploads a video, not writing.

It also correlates with the fact that YouTube is the most used platform in Indonesia. He then concludes it’s better to have a YouTube channel than a blogging platform.
The reasons for not blogging may vary, but they have a thing in common, their opinion about bloggers.
Blogger is awesome!

People who blog have a strong dedication because blogging is indeed not an easy job.
It requires consistency, creativity, and reliability. My friends appreciate bloggers’ innovation and information they share on their blog, BUT they are against plagiarism. The bloggers won’t be cherished if they just duplicate other creators’ work.
It’s a common issue that people only seek a number of views by plagiarizing the famous bloggers’ writing or the articles that are the first rank on search engines.
It’s exceedingly interesting listening to my not-blogger friends' opinion, while I really enjoy blogging.

Your blog is amazing, even though it has some minor grammatical errors -which are not too annoying for most readers. But I personally find it easy to read. Overall, you've done a great job \m/
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rofit! Perhaps you can type those errors, so I won't make the same mistakes in the future😅
