My Bike is on Fire

There is only one thing that can describe how my weeks feel like lately. It is a meme, that I read a long time ago.

Online classes are easy.

It's like riding a bike.

Except the bike is on fire,

and you're on fire,

and everything is on fire,

because you're in hell.

But if I can be honest, this is the first time in the past two weeks that I actually feel relax to sit in front of my laptop and write. What I am trying to say is, I enjoy this Blog Writing class.

I have been blogging since I was in Junior High. My mom had her blog first and wrote so many things there, such as short stories, tips, and reviews. I was just copying her; my blog was only about a 13-year-old's random thoughts about her dreams and days at school. I can't recall the name of my blog anymore but God, I hope it has disappeared to the bottom of the earth because it will be so embarrassing to read it right now. Anyway, I learn a lot from this class. A blog is not something foreign to me and taking this class reminds me of my old blog and increases my knowledge about other features available on the blog. For example, 13-year-old me would not know that you could make money from blogging. Now I know.

As I said before, I learn a lot from this class. At first, I thought Blog Writing class would be boring, but it is actually very fun, and I learn many things in a fun way too. It is nice to know how to write reviews and work on a project with my best friends. We went to cafes and made a concept for our blog and what we would write there. Next, for participation, I am not a student who confident enough to say her thoughts out loud in front of the class, so I usually stay quiet. But I listen. When I faced difficulties in the class, I usually got the answers by listening to my friends’ questions or further explanation by Ma’am Anik.

I think my biggest issue for blogging is my consistency. I know myself. I can be devoted to one thing and I will do it by heart, non-stop. But when I get bored, I can drop it down and find another fun thing. It happened to my blog in Junior High. I almost wrote on it every day, I made it interesting by changing the design regularly and even reached out to other bloggers to promote my blog. But time passed and I got bored with it. I started writing less and less until I realized that I already stopped log in to my blog. Now I realize I really need to fix my consistency. I want to write a blog again and I think my solution is I have to make a schedule of what day and what time I have to post on my blog. By doing so, I will not get bored because it prevents me from writing every day and eventually will find it boring in a couple weeks. Last but not least, I think I deserve to get an A for this class. I really like this class and I learn so many things from it. I rarely absent from the class and I always did my best for all blog assignments.

In conclusion, I enjoy this class and I hope I can start writing on my blog again soon after I finished all my final assignments. Days are boring lately because of this quarantine and writing a blog might help my boredom. I also enjoy having Ma’am Anik Nunuk as my lecturer. She is always been my favorite since the second semester and I hope I can meet her again in another course next semester. I would like to say thank you to her for being my lecturer and help me understand things I did not know before. I also want to thank my friends for doing this fun project with me. Once again, thank you so much.

Why Staying at Home is The Right Thing to Do and How to Enjoy It

Why Staying at Home is The Right Thing to Do and How to Enjoy It With the pandemic of coronavirus (COVID-19), we are required to do physical distancing by staying at home during these times. This means that we can not go outside and do our routine as before because we may risk spreading or being infected with the coronavirus. Staying at home right now is surely boring for most of us, but we must realize that it is actually the right thing to do. Here is why. First of all, staying at home protects yourself and the others from the infection. Coronavirus spreads through the means of physical contact, not just through coughing or sneezing unlike the ordinary flu.
