Will Blogging Fadding ?

Written by Sholahudin Yusuf

So, I've made an interview with my friend about blogging. Actually, it's more like a conversation since it was a two way interview. We talked about few things about blogging from his experience into his opinion towards blogging nowadays.

For the sake of privacy, I will refer to my friend, the interviewee as Yoshua.

I also edit & omit some parts that I think were unnecesssary.

Q : Have you ever make a blog before?
Y : Yes, for the assignment admission sake

Q : How about before that? Have you ever make one?
Y : Yaa, this one was for my middle-school one ( referring to previous answer)

Q : Owh I see..., have you ever make a blog for personal reason like for hobby or just for fun?

Y : Nope

Q : And what's your opinion about the idea of blogging in general? Do you think blogging is a useful activities or not?

Y : When I was in the class, there was a spark of idea in my mind "woaa, this blogging thing look so fun" I was so interested in making one for my personal use, for sharing thought, for telling my personal stories, etc. And so yes, I think this blogging thing is such a useful and opportunistic field that can be developed in the future.

Q : And with recent popularity of Vlogging do you think that blogging still have a place among nowadays audience?

Y :This coming of vlogging things has made blogging becoming less interesting. I think most people are more likely to watch something than to read something, but I'm not saying that blogging is a boring activities nowadays. I believe that there are still many people who like to read something, especially blogs which can be an interesting source of amusement.

Also, I think blogs nowadays is more likely only to share tips, tutorials, opinions, and knowledge. Now not many people are using blog as a media to share stories that they have. As you mentioned before, vlog is becoming a more prominent media to do that thing. Once again, they are all still my personal opinion.

Q : And lastly Yoshua, do you ever have any particular blog that you follow (multiple recurring visits)? If so, can you provide the topic or link?

Y : Blog that I follow?
I think it is not a blog anymore now..
I know that this sounds familiar, the website is called *wikiHow*...

Conclusion:

From this Interview, actually I was a bit disappointed because the interviewee not really into blogging, so I cannot learn much about blogging experience. However, there are still important  points from the interview. First of all, despite not really into blogging he still find the idea of blogging is fascinating and he see blogging as useful and opportunistic field. The last and the biggest take away is that he believe that with the recent popularity of youtube and vlogging, people become less interested in blogging.

It was a fun interview with Mr. Y and maybe in the future I could make another interview on different topic like the possibility of human extinction or zombie apocalypse (jk :D).

  2. Shola's writing skill is good, the content clearly related with the assignment (about interviewing someone who has/hasn't write a blog). I found a discourse marker mistake in the section of Yousa's fourth answer (And so yes, bla bla bla) it should be "So yes," or don't put full stop before word 'and' (CMIIW, that is just from what I've learned in Paragraph Writing course).
Shola also wrote a conclusion at the end of his blog which is good for the reader to learn something from their conversation as well.
Oh, I also found a 'crispy' jokes at the end of the blog 🀣 its actually not funny (lol) but, I don't know why I laughed while reading that part πŸ™‚ I appreciate that πŸ‘πŸ‘ maybe you can interview someone in the future about Dajjal's coming πŸ™‚
good job and keep it up Shola!!

The visual design of the blog. Come and go, let's merry the comment sections with our discussions! Member of the group: Anisatul I Ayu Triananingrum Danti P. Sukma Tsania N. Muthoharoh
