The Different Perspectives

Blogging has become something that can be considered very common among most of people whose life now depends on the internet. Some use blogging as a media for sharing, platform to "record" their experiences, while some others might also do blogging as a source of living, that is to get money from the contents. Of course, this is not applicable for everyone. I have interviewed my two closest persons who have and have not done blogging before. From their different perspectives, I get to know what blogging is for them.

The first one is my closest female friend, who once did blogging when she was younger. Blogspot and Wordpress were the platforms that she used as the media to write some profiles of Korean idol group's members. As the time went on, she started to write some stories that people called as FanFictions as well, "Which is actually kind of embarrassing if I look back at it now." Those stories that she wrote were based on the Korean bands or Japanese animes. Unfortunately, she did not mention which aspect of it that was embarrassing.

When she was asked whether she is still writing, she answered that in the third year of middle school, she gradually stopped writing because she focused on her school which took most of her time. Not only for that reason, she also felt that she could not post something "decent" in her blogs which resulted on the blogs getting deserted ever since her first year of high school. In addition, because of the time when she did not spend on writing, she felt like she could not be satisfied with her writing. "Guess my hands have lost its touch?" She said as she showed sad smile. Despite that, she admitted that she would continue writing sometime near future.

Meanwhile, my closest male friend has different answers about blogging. He has never do blogging before, yet he stated that he actually wants to create a blog as a platform for him to share things that he loves. With bright smile, he told me that he loves to do some adventures (basically outdoor stuff, such as exploring nature in the jungle) which may increase his capability on surviving in the wilds. In addition to that, he also said that alongside with the stories of his adventures, he would love to attach some recipes that can be cooked during the journey. He wishes for people to go out more and explore nature while also knowing how to keep themselves healthy by eating nutritious foods. Furthermore, he added that he may include some tips for beginner explorers so that they will enjoy the outdoor activities as much as he enjoys it. "Might as well bring my wife along." He said with an embarrassed smile.

  1. Hi, Jeng! I have read your blog post for this assignment and found some grammatical errors related to the preposition and article. For instance:
    line 4: applicable for(to) everyone
line 9: As the(x) time went on
line 9: people called as FanFictions
line 16: which resulted on(in) the blogs.
I am also curious about the male friend part, why is it that he wants to increase his capability to survive in the wilds? Does he have a plan to live there?

Why Staying at Home is The Right Thing to Do and How to Enjoy It

Why Staying at Home is The Right Thing to Do and How to Enjoy It With the pandemic of coronavirus (COVID-19), we are required to do physical distancing by staying at home during these times. This means that we can not go outside and do our routine as before because we may risk spreading or being infected with the coronavirus. Staying at home right now is surely boring for most of us, but we must realize that it is actually the right thing to do. Here is why. First of all, staying at home protects yourself and the others from the infection. Coronavirus spreads through the means of physical contact, not just through coughing or sneezing unlike the ordinary flu. The more physical contact happened, the greater the chance of the virus spreading.
