"It all started with two hamsters that I got after crying out loud in front of my grandmother about a half-hour in the middle of the crowd at the market."
My friend started her story after I asked her why she wrote a blog about hamsters.
I was in elementary school at that time, 6th grade. I just moved to a new school yet I already have the best pal in the class. We frequently played together at and after school. Usually, we played at her house because her house is super near to the school (5 minutes on foot). I remember at that time, she likes to share her cute blog to me. But she only shows the design, not the content. Now that I got this assignment, I become to wonder what she writes about at her blog? Then, I asked her via Line chat.
"Why you started to write a blog at that time? I mean, at that time, I did not really find many people at our age (12 years old) write a blog. Facebook is more famous than Blog right?" I asked her right after she replied to my chat.
Her answer was...
"Honestly, at first, I decided to write a blog because I just want to make a blog with a stand out design. That's why I only show you the design."
I can only respond by sending a confused look sticker.
That kind of thinking can be a motivation for her to not only made a good looking blog design but also to started to write about what she loves the most at that time, HAMSTER. Yep, she loves her hamsters, her 16 hamsters to be precise. It all started with 2 hamsters, then they breed and suddenly there were 16 of them. Taking care of hamsters is her hobby and she would like to share anything she knows about hamsters with her writing. She also shared about her experiences with her hamsters, so that people that can't have hamsters but love hamsters can feel that they are having hamsters too.
But the most important reason she wrote about hamsters in her blog was she wanted all people to know that hamsters are the cutest animal in the world. Many people scared of hamsters because it looks like a mouse. She shared the cuteness of her hamsters, tried to made people that thinking that hamsters are mouse changed their mind and will start to love hamsters as much as she does. By kept updating her blog, she got new friends, new knowledge (about hamsters especially) and new experiences. That was why she decided to keep be a blogger until all of her hamsters were dead... (not gonna tell why all of her hamsters died)
"I like to write. I also like hamsters. I thought that both can be combined to become the most hobby that I enjoy doing it."
Oh well, the good old days. From this interview, I am not only flashbacking about my childhood but also learn some new kinds of motivation to start blogging... and about my best pal.

Your friend's motivation is cute, Vela! And I found some grammar mistakes, perhaps these can be noted for your next writing😉
ReplyDelete- "I remember at that time, she likes.." should be "liked"; "then they breed" should be "bred" because the event happened long ago, right? #atthattime
- The next is about to+infinitive. "to not only made..", "to started". "made" and "started" should be in V1
- "decided to keep be..." you should use gerund after the word "keep", so it should be "keep being".
- I think the word "am" in "From this interview, I am.." should be "was" since the interview had happened before you wrote. It connects with the word "learn" in "but also learn...", it should be "learning" #pararellism.
Thank you so much Lidin for the grammar correction. It's hard for me tbh to keep the grammar consistency when writing. But you help me a lot by giving this correction. Will keep in mind :)
