A Platform To Vent: A Personal Diary

For today's read, you will find that I have interviewed a close friend of mine, so close that in fact, she sleeps right next to me. In this blog, I will try to write thoroughly based on her answers, as to why she started blogging and her main focus when it comes to blogging.

Zumrotus Sholichah, a 21 year old female, that is currently pursuing her study in the Department of English at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. I would describe her as a book-worm, as I have seen it myself, that her cupboard is full of books in every genre one could ever think of. Not only does she read hard-covered books, she also spends majority of her time reading wattpads, before sleep, after she wakes up from sleep and anywhere in between really. Oh I should also mention that she is a die-hard fan of the KPOP band, NCT.

This friend of mine first started writing her blog in 2018, with the intentions to vent and make it a personal diary. Her blog consisted of a few short stories, without any specific theme. She told me that it wasn't her main focus to establish a particular theme, because her purpose of writing a blog is simply just for herself.

When I asked her how many of her writings she has published, she mentioned that only two of them she has made public, and the rest are still draft. I also managed to dig a little deeper and find out what two of her writings were about, she said that,

"One of the writing I have published were based on my opinion about a certain topic and the other one is about how to love oneself"

I didn't get to ask why she has decided to write about 'loving oneself', but I find that quite interesting. Not a lot of bloggers write about self-love and how important it is to take care of themselves. Now I bet that if she writes for the public, she might get a lot of readers hooked, because I believe that she has a lot of ideas to share, and opinions that may spark conversations with strangers.

Anyway, as of for now, she is taking a break from writing because she is focusing on finishing her thesis paper. However, she is planning to write more for her blog.

"Aku akan tetap nulis bebas, sebebas-bebasnya", utters Zumroh.

I second that actually. I used to also write blogs, but for personal interest and its all free-writing, no theme or particular topic. I find that it's best that way because I always have room to explore and find topics to write about, and not just be focused on one specific idea. Nonetheless, I do hope to read her blog, but I am not quite sure if she will be fond of that. Maybe I will tease her about it until she lets me read it. That's all from me 🥰🥰

Why Staying at Home is The Right Thing to Do and How to Enjoy It

Why Staying at Home is The Right Thing to Do and How to Enjoy It With the pandemic of coronavirus (COVID-19), we are required to do physical distancing by staying at home during these times. This means that we can not go outside and do our routine as before because we may risk spreading or being infected with the coronavirus. Staying at home right now is surely boring for most of us, but we must realize that it is actually the right thing to do. Here is why. First of all, staying at home protects yourself and the others from the infection. Coronavirus spreads through the means of physical contact, not just through coughing or sneezing unlike the ordinary flu.
